between theme. Then according to coulomb’s law
F∝ {(q1 q2) /d2}
=>F=C {(q1 q2) /d2} [Here “c” is a proportionally constant]
Then the proportionally constant c for vacuum is found to be
C=1/4πε0=9×109 Nm2c-2
So, f= (1/4πε0) {(q1 q2) /d2}
Electric field strength or intensity:
[3. what is electric field?] The area around a charge body where other charged body experience attraction or repulsion is called the electric field of that charge. [4. What is electric field strength/intensity?] The force experience by a unit positive charge placed at any point is an electric field is called the electric strength or intensity at the point.
It is a vector quality. Most of the time it’s denoted by “E” and its unit is NC-1
[5. Magnitude:] If a charge +q is placed at a point in the electric field and experiences force ‘F’ then the magnitude of the electric intensity at that point would be, E=F/q
